Beck Redden partner Connie Pfeiffer was presented with the 2013 Woodrow B. Seals Outstanding Young Lawyer award at this year’s Law Day luncheon. Named in honor of a well known federal judge, this award is presented annually by the Houston Young Lawyers Association to a lawyer who is nominated and selected based on professional excellence and outstanding service to clients, the community and the Bar.

Connie has been recognized five times as a “Rising Star” in appellate law by Texas Monthly, is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law, and frequently writes and speaks on appellate topics at CLE conferences around the state.

She has been awarded the President’s Award of Merit for outstanding service as a TYLA Director, and she currently serves on the Council for the HBA Appellate Practice Section and as a Director for the Federal Bar Association.  She is also a Junior Achievement Class Coordinator at West University Elementary School, an Advisory Board member of the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, and an active member and volunteer at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church.  She was recently appointed by Senators Cornyn and Cruz to serve on the bipartisan Federal Judicial Evaluation Committee.

The HYLA has also nominated Connie for the Outstanding Young Lawyer of Texas award, which will be announced by the Texas Young Lawyers Association at the State Bar annual meeting being held in Dallas.
