I graduated with magna cum laude at the University of Ghent, where after the master of laws, I followed a master of taxation.

My career started at Astrea in 2008. In the beginning I also focused on corporate tax and made several publications in this area as well as lectures. Through my experience on due diligences and other M&A related questions, my focus evolved to the area of national and international acquisitions, mergers and demergers, corporate governance, and consultancy in the areas of commercial law, company law and finance. I became a partner of the firm in 2017.

My special focus is on corporate real estate and I have gained extensive experience in supervising transactions on the side of project developers, contractors and architects in their acquisition and investment processes and the setting up of partnerships. I focus not only on the transaction itself but also on the pre- and post-closing.

I really enjoy negotiating company law transactions. It’s not just the technical side that interests me, but also the human and psychological aspects.

Astrea is an independent law firm with more than 45 lawyers, each with their own area of specialization. Together, they provide assistance in any area of law that might be required by private companies, entrepreneurs or public authorities.

Our firm’s broad-based composition allows us to offer a comprehensive approach. Based on the individual client’s needs and the specific issues at hand, we assign a customized team of specialist lawyers to each case. This enables us to consider every relevant area of law and provide the most efficient solution.

A unique blend of passion and respect is the strength of the Astrea team. Every team member has a client-oriented and client-driven approach. We respond quickly, and we work in a proactive and pragmatic way. Quality is essential, but we also aim to be as cost-efficient as possible.
