Sonia Gumpert has a Degree in Law from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid and has a Masters in European Law from the Universidad Pontificia of Comillas (ICADE). In 1993 she joined the Bar Association of Madrid.
She has developed her career in the areas of procedural law in the civil and commercial fields, particularly in matters with foreign elements and application of conventions and standards of international privacy law. She is also an expert on advice in the areas of civil and commercial law, among others, due to her extensive experience in distribution, franchising and agency matters, as well as in implementation of judicial titles and extrajudicial foreigners in Spain. Additionally, she has extensive experience in disputes relating to leases, especially in relation to commercial buildings.
Gumpert has been the Dean of the Madrid Bar Association and an honorary member of AIJA (Association International de Jeunes Avocats) since August 2011. She is also a member of the American Bar Association.
She speaks Spanish, German and English.
