Ms Begoña Power is a Director at the Commercial Law department in the Corporate and Administrative Law division. She is an experienced professional and expert in Corporate Law, in M&A transactions, group restructuring and corporate governance, and in Administrative Law in connection with public sector contracting and public tenders. She has also expertise in Insolvency Law and bankruptcy processes.

Qualifications

Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. Lawyer.

Master in Tax Law

Qualified as Litigation Lawyer.

Career

In 1988 she joined KPMG where she specialized in Commercial and Tax Law, focusing on corporate issues, contracts and taxation.

In 1998 she joined The Gillette Group as Legal and Tax Advisor for Spain and Portugal and formerly as Senior Legal Counsel of one of the Group’s Business Units for the AMEE market (Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe).

In 2008 she joined the firm DE ANDRÉS Y ARTÍÑANO, focused on advising companies and groups of companies.

She is currently Director of the area of Corporate and Administrative Law of the firm, providing regular advice to corporations and groups of companies both national and foreign.
Her area of specialization includes corporate governance and group restructuring; public procurement and contracting; advice on renewable energies and, finally, on insolvency processes.

Alicia is a partner in charge of the Commercial Law department in the area of Financial and Banking Law. She is an experienced professional and recognized expert in Banking and financing Law.

Qualifications

Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid. Lawyer.
Master in Real Estate Law.

Career
In 1989 she joined Rodríguez-Arias Firm. In this period she began to specialize in Private, Commercial and Civil Law, focusing on corporate issues, and contracts, both in advising and in the preparation of legal actions.
In 1991 she joined the firm DE ANDRÉS Y ARTÍÑANO, focused on advising companies and groups of companies with special attention to financial and banking groups.

She is currently responsible for the area of Financial and Banking Law of the firm. Within it, she is responsible for regular advice to regulated entities both national and foreign, with special attention to the creation and closing of regulated entities and banking contracting, including the establishment of contractual standards for the launch of products banking. She also has extensive experience in financing operations of all types including asset financing, project financing and real estate financing.

Finally, her area of specialization includes matters related to the securities market, directly advising both investment services companies and credit institutions that are active in this area.
