Marta Mourão

a. Academic Qualifications
Master Degree in Legal Sciences from the Oporto University – School of Law (Universidade do Porto – Faculdade de Direito), in 2011; Law Degree from the Oporto Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University (Universidade Católica Portuguesa), in 2008;

b. Professional Qualifications
Is a Member of the Macau Lawyers’ Association since 2012;
Is a Member of the Portuguese Bar since 2011.

Marta Mourão completed her internship and practiced Law in Portugal between 2008 and 2012 and, between December 2008 and August 2009, she also worked as a legal consultant in “DECO – Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor”, a Portuguese Consumer Association, in Oporto.

Between May and October 2012 she worked at the Macau law firm Rato, Ling, Vong, Lei & Cortés – Advogados as a special consultant through an agreement with the Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency (AICEP –Portugal Global) and then joined the office as a Lawyer in November 2012, being admitted as a member of the Macau Lawyers Association on the same date.
Her legal practice focuses mainly in Corporate/Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Law, Financial and Banking Law, Civil Law and Labour Law.

Since November 2014 she is also a part-time lecturer of the Master of Social Science in Global Political Economy Programme in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, lecturing the Course Application of International Law in China.
She is a regular contributor to several legal and non-legal publications, including the International Financial Law Review and the International Law Office Newsletter.
